Interested in a BIG ROBOT?
Anyone done a battlebot like robot? It would be interesting to build one and play with it
Re: Interested in a BIG ROBOT?
Do you think it's correct to call those "robots?"
I mean, aren't they supposed to have some sorta AI (even in the simplest form) to be labeled as robots, instead of being guided by human via RC?

Re: Interested in a BIG ROBOT?
I think there is 3 schools of thoughts,
Some people feel robots need to have AI, some believe an RF based human controlled vehicle with some unique features and capabilities may be labelled as robots, some think a mixe of both.
Yes you are right, i mean to say a mixed of both, but by nature, i cannot do without RF control. It is really so much fun

Thank you, you're right about different schools, after all Robot means work But what separates them from automatons and RC vehicles is AI...

When I read big and robot, for some reason I always think of Big Dog (Boston Dynamics)..
